As always, the transfer summer pack is available for children in P6 who wish to sit the entrance exams. We provide a pack of 10 practice papers and also the numeracy and literacy books, which have proved very popular in recent years. These resources will help your children to keep ticking over and maintain their good habits throughout the summer months,
On Tuesday 20th June, children should not come to The Diamond, but instead to Cullybackey College for our full day rehearsal of the Summer Concert. Children should be left to Cullybackey College between 8.30am and 9.10am - please accompany children to the main door of the school where staff will greet. Children should be collected from the main entrance of the school at 2.30 pm. Please follow instructions for driving and parking when you arrive as we hope to keep everything moving smoothly and safely. The school bus will carry on its usual drop off and pick up at the college.
Children need to bring a break and packed lunch with them. Children who receive free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch if desired. Children must also bring a coat or jacket.
Thank you for your co-operation as we prepare for our Summer Concert.
This year, we have created a fantastic school yearbook with charts the whole school year and displays many, many photographs from each classroom and lots of the special events throughout the year. There is a special section of the book dedicated to our P7 leavers, which takes a trip down memory lane to P1. The book is an 80 pages and printed professionally on glossy paper - lovely keepsake of a great year at The Diamond. And it's only £5 - we are not making any money from this yearbook as we'd like as many people as possible to be able to buy! Complete the short form below to order yours.
Our children who are involved in musical tuition and choir in school will perform some musical items at our coffee morning next Thursday 15th June. the coffee morning should last for about an hour and will begin at 10.00am. Parents and friends are very welcome to attend and enjoy this musical treat with some tea, coffee and scones!
If you would like to come, please provide the information below for seating and catering purposes.
This Friday, we are having an exciting football festival in school! Rodney and Simon from Coaching 4 Christ will lead our assembly, then help us to have a really fun day of football activities! The work in class will have a football theme too! All children should wear football kits or any sports gear (non-uniform) and we'd really appreciate if you'd send a donation for the work of Coaching 4 Christ! Rodney and Simon have been with us every Wednesday leading PE and football lessons and sharing Bible stories - I would encourage you to give generously to this very worthwhile cause!
